BBC Earth on Foxtel and Fetch has got a new on-air look as part of a global rebrand with a new suite of channel branding elements.

BBC Earth shares and celebrates the incredible wonders of our universe, taking you on a thrilling journey of discovery - from the smallest creature under the microscope to the limitless expanses of space. BBC Earth brings you face to face with heart-pounding action, mind-blowing ideas and the sheer wonder of this extraordinary planet we call home.

The new creative refresh, developed by the award-winning BBC Studios Creative team, celebrates the premium brand and reflects on some of the stunning content that has been created and broadcast globally including Blue Planet II, Frozen Planet II and The Green Planet.

This suite of brand-new logos and assets reference a circular device that captures spectacular content and amazing stories, representing the “Window to the World” and transporting viewers out of their surroundings into realms of infinite wonder. The bold new look will start to roll out globally across all platforms from the 14th September.

BBC Studios Creative team is headed up by Executive Creative Director, Nick Meikle, who said: “We wanted to elevate the heritage of the circular device within the current brand, to give it real purpose and dimension. The core brand idea is a “Window to the World”. A circular window that represents the Earth and the infinite wonder it has to offer. It is a visual mechanic that seeks to relentlessly discover immersive moments, bringing spectacular stories into the homes of our audience, creating an emotional connection to our planet, and connecting them to the world at large. The brand refresh also gave us the opportunity to unify the visual language across all touch points from this central idea, as the brand has evolved significantly since its original TV launch over eight years ago.”

The BBC Earth brand has grown across the globe and on multiple platforms. It is renowned for its pioneering spirit and leadership in innovation with the storytelling and technology that runs through its unparalleled TV and online content, immersive live events including the recently announced BBC Earth Experience opening in Melbourne on October 27, major cinema releases as well as licensing partnerships across publishing, merchandise and gaming. Documentaries such as Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II have been watched by more than a billion people globally and are featured in the Top 10 highest rated shows of all time on IMDb.

BBC Earth offers clients a range of unique sponsorship opportunities including alignment with dedicated programming stunts that explore the beauty of earth, including Attenborough Month, Earth Week, Oceans Week and Wilderness Week. BBC Earth continues to increase its share of 25-54 year olds, up 50% year on year.
